Personal Security

Personal security is often connected to the term "bodyguard". Only experts are aware of the fact that personal security takes place in three levels:

Private (e.g. Counterforce)
State-run (currently in the retreat)
Witness protection program (mostly state-run)

The Counterforce Operational Unit's work concentrates on the private level, cooperating with local authorities if required.

Personal security services have to deal with numerous threats; the main tasks are:

Protection of life and limb
Securing the free will as well as freedom of action and worship
Guarding against negative impact on reputation and image

You should be aware of the fact that people associated with the primary target (e.g. family, friends, and neighbours) can be involved as secondary targets!
